About
Dr Meg Wardrop is an experienced psychiatrist based in Albany, Western Australia. She provides comprehensive mental health care for women aged 16 to 65. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS Hons) from Monash University and a Master of Psychiatry from the University of Melbourne. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and has more than a decade of clinical experience working across a variety of areas in mental health.
Meg’s clinical work is focused on women, particularly those in regional areas who have had limited access to specialist care. She is drawn to conditions that have historically been minimised or missed, despite being significant and treatable. Her experience across public and private mental health settings has shown her how often women face real barriers to getting care that fits their lives, from the upheaval of pregnancy and the early postnatal period to the mood and anxiety changes of perimenopause. In each consultation, her aim is to apply a woman’s lens to the work: assessments and treatment plans built around the realities of women’s day-to-day lives.
Dr Wardrop practises privately through Women’s Health Great Southern, working within a multidisciplinary setting dedicated to women’s health and wellbeing. This allows for collaborative care alongside other health professionals, supporting continuity and holistic treatment.
Whether you are navigating early parenthood, seeking support in adolescence, managing a serious mental health condition or moving through hormonal shifts, Dr Meg Wardrop offers skilled, respectful and personalised care tailored to your needs.
